WINTER DRIVING SCHOOL
Upon arrival to the track, we start by presenting the teachers, cars, and the track’s different parts for following practices: Correct sitting position, handling the steering wheel, Acceleration, Braking, Use of handbrake, Slides and Over- and under steering. Owner and the main instructor in driving schools, Mr Heikki Poranen, is qualified driving instructor and has tens of years experience in arranging rallies and acting as Rally Steward or Observer in many international rallies.
ICE KARTING
Ice carting is a motor sport that suits everyone. During the program, we learn about the ice karts and the basic driving techniques, before getting down to business racing around the track against the clock. Racing games can also be arranged - together with ice carting there are quads and rally cars. Let’s find out who is the Racing King of your company!
ARRIVAL TO WILDERNESS
A real surprise to begin your Lapland adventure with: a snowmobile safari right from modern Rovaniemi Airport to the wilderness of Lapland! Change into thermal safari outfits at airport premises and proceed to snowmobiles. After instructions of driving technique and safety rules you will start the first part of your Lapland adventure. Two person share one snowmobile, taking turns in driving. Drive through snow covered forests to today’s destination – a legendary wilderness log cabin.
Your luggage will transport separately directly to Bear´s Den. The host of Bear´s Den welcomes you with hot drink. The Sauna’s heat will soften to your muscles, and for those with courage the hole in the ice awaits for a refreshing swim. Traditional Lappish dinner will serve by the glow of big fireplace at the cabin.
RIVERBOAT TRIP TO KOTISAARI ISLAND
The trip will begin at a marina near the city centre, where a genuine riverboat with its distinctive tar smell awaits passengers. The beautiful scenery along the river adds a new dimension to Rovaniemi in summer. Rovaniemi was once the legendary town of the lumberjacks and Kotisaari was their home base. This is the place where you can find about the tough but simple life of the lumberjacks.
LUMBERJACK'S TRADE
Step back in time and into the world of the Lumberjacks! See and experience how real tradesmen show how forestry works done in the good old days. Trees will fall and trunks piled in a great performance. Do you want to try your skills with old fashioned tools and see if you would be a good Lumberjack? These Jacks are happy to teach you their trade. The Lumberjacks will tell you stories of the golden age of forestry in northern Finland, about the days when they worked hard and lived in lodges for weeks and weeks. You will challenge to make your own Lumberjack-souvenir of a piece of wood you will saw and burn mark yourself.

OUNASVAARA SKI CENTRE
Ounasvaara has 7 Slopes, 4 ski lifts and 140m altitude difference. There are 100km of cross country skiing tracks, from which 50km is illuminated. For children we offer funny and safe Children’s land with its own lift and for young daredevils we have challenging Street and Half Pipe. Tottohissi area offers excellent settings for speedier skiing for more demanding skiers. Ounasvaara Ski School gives lessons in alpine skiing for beginners every morning starting at 10 am. The lessons are 90 minutes long and it holds in Ounasvaara Ski Resort´s safe and easy slopes. During the lesson you get a good feeling what is alpine skiing and the excitement of speed.
