SANTA CLAUS SAFARI
We welcome you to come and experience the most important elements of the magical ambience of Lapland! Your adventure begins with a refreshing cruise on a traditional riverboat along the Kemijoki and Ounasjoki rivers. A visit to the home of Lappish family and their workshop is the first stop on our cruise. After this, the riverboat will take you to a local reindeer farm, where you can learn about Lappish culture and reindeer rearing. Enjoy a delicious Lappish lunch and participate in a ceremonial crossing of the Arctic Circle during your visit to the farm. In the afternoon, the tour continues by car to the Santa Claus Village for a meeting with Mr. Claus himself, after which you have a chance to do some shopping before returning to the city.
MIDNIGHT SUN EXPERIENCE (21.00-24.00)
Our evening begins with a restful cruise on a traditional long and open riverboat along River Kemijoki, which surrounded by beautiful summer scenery. Your guide will prepare a local-style evening meal to you in the middle of nature. Before midnight, you will drive to the top of Ounasvaara Fell to admire the fascinating midnight sun and the tranquil nature. Then we raise a toast for the magical feeling of the white nights of Lapland with a glass of sparkling wine. You will be escort back to your hotel after the program. Duration 3 hours.
VISIT TO THE REINDEER FARM
You meet guide on safari house and we will head to the local Reindeer Farm by car. There you will become familiar with the reindeer and herding of theirs. You will also take part to the Arctic Circle crossing ceremony. Sitting around the open fire you will hear the sound of Magic drum and feel the relaxing rituals made by Lappish shaman. After the ceremony you can feel how you have given away all your hurries and stress.
RIVERBOAT CRUISE TO A REINDEER FARM
Come for a boat cruise along a traditional log-floating route to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the valleys of the Ounasjoki and Kemijoki rivers. Travel through serene landscapes in a long wooden riverboat and experience the summer of the Arctic Circle. Later, you’ll learn about herding practices while visiting a reindeer farm. Enjoy a cup of hot coffee and participate in a ceremonial crossing of the Arctic Circle during your visit to the farm.
VISIT TO THE HUSKY FARM
We start our journey from our safari house by car to the Husky mushers home. After 15 minutes car transfer friendly huskies wish you welcomed to their home. Musher introduces the life of huskies and wonders of surrounding nature, you have also possibility to hug some lovely puppies. We will also do a speedy husky ride through the beautiful forest just next to Ounasjoki riverside. After the speedy ride you will hear more interesting stories about these racing dogs and long distance husky races in the extreme circumstances.
SLED DOG RIDE & TOUR FROM 1ST JUNE 2011

CANOE TRIP TO HUSKYFARM
By canoe to Huskypoint Käpälämäki. Enjoy the beautiful scenery while paddling peacefully along the river Ounasjoki towards the home of huskies. Approximately 3,5 km downstream paddling trip without rapids is easy and relaxing and suitable for all. After canoe trip enjoy light picnic on the shore of the river. Program continues with summer sled dog ride and tour which means: a tour in Käpälämäki kennels and exciting summer sled dog ride with a team of huskies. Also a video of the races these dogs have participated and racing equipment shown. Monday - Saturday pick up time from Rovaniemi town at 09:00. Package includes: canoe trip, picnic, summer sled dog ride & tour, car transfers from/to Rovaniemi town.
TOP TWOSOME
Meet the arctic animals at their homes. You will hear a story about 'year of a reindeer' and see how the life of them is in the summer. 45 min guided tour in Arctic Circle Reindeer farm.
In Husky farm you will meet plenty of lovely huskies. Have exciting summer drive with the husky team and hear about the thrills of sled dog races. Summer sled dog ride & tour 1,5 hours.
FINNISH SAUNA IN THE SILENT FOREST WITH DINNER
Would you like to spend peaceful evening with your family or friends? Our sauna and dining cottage in the middle of the Lappish nature offers great circumstances for a peaceful and relaxing evening.
Guide will pick you up from your accommodation place and gives you a ride with jeep to the forest. First we light on the candles and the fire place and we will take cup of healthy drink. Your guide tells you about heating up the traditional Finnish sauna and after introduction, it’s time to experience one of the most important elements of the Finnish culture by ourselves!
After the gentle steam of the sauna have relaxed the body and mind it is time to enjoy delicious dinner made by pure Lappish raw-materials.
